Kelsey Who?

Hey Readers!

I'd like to share with you another friend of mine, Kelsey Harmon. Who knew there was so much talent coming from Kentucky? Kelsey is now a student at Belmont University, which is located in Nashville, and she is studying music business. She is quite the talented independent singer/songwriter! Here is one of her original songs, called "I'm Happy". It is by far my favorite song of hers.

Kelsey describes her style as folk/blues. I think there is a rise in the popularity of folk music these days, which I couldn't be happier about. Kelsey's voice sometimes reminds me of Ingrid Michaelson, who is rather famous in that realm. Kelsey's sound is also unique and captivating. She plays most of her shows in local Nashville venues, bars, and coffee shops.

I think she's on the right track, and has potential to make it in the music world. I'm hoping to make it to Nashville for one of her shows; I would love to work with her in the future. She has met a lot of people in her program at Belmont, and has a lot of other friends who are extremely talented as well. Having friends on the actual music side helps me on the business side; it's a perfect place to start out for me. I am thankful for social media, allowing me to keep up-to-date with her latest videos, shows, and other exciting news. You can check out her Facebook page here! I recommend listening to all of the songs posted, but definitely the song "Save Me". I find Kelsey's voice to be extremely refreshing and I hope you do, too.
